星星.月亮

    every sth./sb. under the sun

The Chinese are often said to be the most hard-working people under the sun.(人们常称道中国人是世界上最勤劳的民族。)

I tried every way under the sun but I just couldn’t persuade him to come.(我用尽千方百计,就是说服不了他来。)

    hitch one’s wagon to a star/t1he stars

The man who is daring to hitch his wagon to the stars finds the sky is so limit.(敢于胸怀大志的人会发现前途是无可限量的。)

    ask for the moon

When you are trying to get a job, remember not to ask for the moon.(求职时记得切勿要求过高。)

I am not asking for the moon I just want a little of your time.(我的要求不算过分吧!
